Blue Snowball Ice
If you are just starting out then the Blue Snowball Ice is a great entry-level
Since moving to the Snowball Ice, my audio recordings in my video tutorials are much clearer.
Tencro Microphone Boom Stand
If you work on a desk then I also recommend investing in a microphone boom stand.
This stand fits the Blue Snowball Ice microphone and helps to position the microphone better.
InnoGear Microphone Pop Filter
When recording audio, a pop filter makes a huge difference. These inexpensive tools cover the microphone to prevent any Darth Vader breathing onto the microphone. Blowing onto the microphone while talking is a horrible noise that your audience will not appreciate.
This pop filter also fits the Tencro Boom Stand above.
Screen recorder and video editor
I believe Camtasia is the best all round screen recorder and video editor.
It is so easy to use and I really like the annotations feature – a must for how-to and educational videos.
I have used multiple web hosting providers and for me SiteGround comes out on top.
Their hosting is very cheap for WordPress websites, which is perfect when starting a new site. Also, their server response times are super fast! Nobody likes a slow website.
The guys behind GeneratePress have done a fantastic job in creating such a lightweight and beautiful theme.
There is a free option available for GeneratePress that will get you started. However, if you are looking for additional features then upgrade to their Premium addon – this is what is used on Side Hustle Teach.
Newspaper is the theme of choice I have on my niche website Top Tip Bio.
I really love their feature to have videos placed at the top of posts. I use this to include a YouTube video tutorial and include a written guide in the post below.
