Podia Pricing: What Price Plan Should You Pick?

Some links in this post are affiliate links, which means I will earn a commission (at no additional cost to you) if you make a purchase. See the disclosure for more information.

If you’re thinking about creating an online course with Podia, then you will probably be thinking about Podia pricing.

In this post, I will explain the different Podia pricing options available and what’s included in each plan.

If you want to learn more about my thoughts on the platform, then check out my Podia review.

Podia pricing: Overview

There are just two price plans for Podia:

  • Mover – $32.5 per month (annual billing) or $39 per month (monthly billing)
  • Shaker – $65.83 per month (annual billing) or $79 per month (monthly billing)

Podia has two pricing plans: Mover and Shaker

Unfortunately, Podia don’t have a Free plan.

They do have a 14-day free trial (no payment details required). Click here to get a free trial of Podia.

The yearly cost of plans

Like most online course platforms, Podia offers a discounted rate for taking out annual billing methods.

You will get two months free by paying annually, so it’s always best to pay yearly for your plan to save some money.

In the table below, I have included the yearly cost of the Mover and Shaker plans when paid monthly and annually so you can see how much you can save.

PlanMonthly billingAnnual billingSaving
Mover$468$390$78
Shaker$948$790$158

Podia pricing: Mover plan

Price: $32.5 per month (annual billing) or $39 per month (monthly billing)

Transaction fee: 0%

The introductory plan – Mover – comes with a lot of features with zero transaction fees as standard!

Not only that but there is unlimited everything including products (including online courses and digital downloads), students, hosting and emails.

If you want to add a custom domain to your online school, you can do with the Mover plan.

Alternatively, you can use their own subdomain of ‘.podia.com’.

To use a custom domain, you will need to purchase your own domain. I recommend using SiteGround for this; prices are so cheap for domains!

Unlike most online course platforms, Podia have an extended 7-days-a-week support included in all of their plans. So, if you’re stuck, you can always use their live chat system or contact them via email.

Plan features

Mover contains everything you need to get your online course up and running in no time.

The features below are included in Podia’s Mover plan…

  • Zero transaction fees
  • Unlimited courses
  • Unlimited students
  • Unlimited hosting
  • Custom domain support
  • Product support (7-days-a-week)

Who is the Mover plan for?

Podia’s entry-level plan is aimed at those who are starting out with online course creation.

Creators who have a small following should start with the Mover plan before thinking about upgrading to the Shaker plan.

Price: $65.83 per month (annual billing) or $79 per month (monthly billing)

Transaction fee: 0%

Shaker is Podia’s most premium payment plan – with everything included!

A stand out feature is the ability to create a membership site. Instead of having a one-off online course, with memberships you can charge a recurring payment for access to your online school.

A blog is also included in Shaker where you can create and share content just like a WordPress-based website.

Another cool feature is the ability to have an embedded checkout. These can be placed on your own website, for example, so visitors can purchase the online course directly.

If you want affiliates for your online school, you can with Shaker. An affiliate system is in place so people can earn commission by recommending your online course on their website. Having an affiliate system in place can increase sales.

If you are currently hosting your online course with a different online course platform, there is also free migration support offered. The guys at Podia will help you move your content onto their platform to make the process as smooth as possible.

Plan features

Shaker comes with everything that is included in the Mover plan, as well as…

  • Memberships
  • Blog
  • Embedded checkout
  • Affiliate marketing system
  • Third-party support (eg Facebook Pixel and Sumo)
  • Migrations from other platforms

Who is the Shaker plan for?

The Shaker plan is for those with an established audience and want to get access to more marketing features.

The ability to add an embedded checkout and affiliate system enables you to reach a wider audience compared with the Mover plan.

Also, if you’re after a membership site, instead of selling one-off online courses, then the Shaker plan is for you.

Wrapping up

Podia pricing is pretty straight forward; there are two paid plans – Mover and Shaker.

If you’re just starting out, then go for Mover. If you’re more established with online course creation, then go for Shaker that has all of the bells and whistles.

If you’re after a completely Free plan, you will not find it at Podia (they do have a 14-day free trial). Instead, have a look at Teachable or Thinkific.

Have you created an online course with Podia? Let me know in the comments below the price plan you went for and why.
